Hi, I just found 20 eggs in a nest within my mixed breed duck pen. I have 4 hens, so not sure who has been laying which eggs. I have 3 khaki Cambell hens and a Muscovy hen. I have not seen anyone sitting on them yet, but the nest is out in the open, should I build a some kind of enclosure to protect whichever hen decides to sit? If one decides to sit. Thanks for any help.

Oh, you absolutely need to protect eggs and anyone who may want to sit.

I would seriously consider trying to relocate the entire pile, into a secure area. Definitely.

In fact, I would move the eggs.

Thanks, I will try to relocate the eggs, I was just not sure if it would discourage the hen from sitting on them. Thanks again,
