Found a chicken in my yard, what is it?

    A lone chicken wondered into my yard today. Has a few loose feathers, so I think something got ahold of it. I called all my neighbors and no one is missing any chickens.

    She looks too red to me to be BO, but that could be just the way the photo shows the color. She looks awfully young, looks like you got lucky [​IMG]

    This was one of my BOs last year probably about the same age.

    I'm going to guess buff rock, because of yellow legs.

    How old would you guess her to be? She sounds young when she makes a sound,
    She is more orangish then it shows in the pictures, but not really the color I think of when I picture Buff Orpingtons.

    If you look at pic 3, the legs are not yellow and the feathering is much lighter. Our BO's have weird color variations when taking pics so that's what I was thinking. I'm not an expert, sorry.

    If she's still "peeping" or has a baby voice... I'd keep an eye out on the comb growth as it could be a late blooming boy!

    I just looked at a picture of a Buff Rock and thats about what her color really is.
