As some of you may have read in my intro and in the what breed or gender section. We recently lost our EE roo. We had raised him from a chick and loved him very much. The hens haven't been the same since and have started to dig up the yard. So I started looking and came across an ad for a free roo looking for a home to avoid slaughter. I spoke with the woman she cared very much for him and wanted him to go to a home where he could live out his days rather than going to slaughter with the rest of their meat birds. His name is Sonny and I will be picking him up within the week. [IMG] I attached the pics the woman sent. He will be king of the coop with our 18 hens. We can never replace Mr. Roo but I think it will be nice having a rooster around again.
