Found an egg

I found a white egg in my backyard the other day that is the size of a chicken egg, but my chickens are confined and not laying yet and none of my neighbors have chickens. I was thinking it's a duck egg but i thought they were bigger than chicken eggs.

Duck eggs feel kind of waxy and can be the size of a chicken egg.
