My daughter and husband went canoeing and this goose was at the launch area. Daughter asked to have it and dad said"If you can catch it, you can keep it." He was thinking she wouldn't be able to approach it. She did, walked right up to it and picked it up. She put it down, they started off down the river. The goose followed them and got in the canoe. So, he is home with us. He is very docile and well fed. I am thinking he is a Chinese/mix. I have no idea how old or what gender. We are calling him George. I don't think he would be so far from home, unless he was spooked and got lost. The nearest area that could possible have fowl are 3-5 miles away. The canoe launch is in a semi residential area with busy roads. He may have been dumped too, but I hope not. We put up found ads, but he may not get claimed. Any ideas on gender, breed and age.
