Found this this mornin

    Found this little fella in my duck pen this mornin. Gave it some sees and let it be. Is it a pheasant? I am so sorry it's blurry I didn't notice until I went to upload it.

    yes, it is like a pheasant, part of the pheasant family, but they aren't native to the US.They were brought over from the Middle Eastern countries starting in the '30s...

    Hmm interesting this is the only one I have ever seen and it's still hanging about and it's the only one?

    It probably escaped from someone's yard, hatchery, or was a survivor (chukars are released to be hunted). If it was a wild bird, I don't think you'd be able to get that close of a picture shot.

    Oh ok. Well idk of anyone around me that has them(I'm kind of in the middle of nowhere on 14 acres only have one neighbor and cotton fields by me) well I guess if it's not a harm to the ducks it can stay
