I have four chickens, that all hatched in December, and need some insight please :) They are most likely barnyard mixes, chance they could be purebred.

    Pullet? RIR cross? Hatched 12/24/14

    Cockerel? Barred rock? Hatched 12/25/14

Dixon. Cockerel? Black star? Hatched 12/13/14

    Ebony. Pullet? Black star?

Ebony is my favorite. Please don't tell me she is one of those meat birds. She's really wobbly on her feet.

Here is her and her hatch mate. [IMG]
    Ebony also has saddle feathers?

    Thanks!

Ebony isn't a meat type bird but is a cockerel as are the 2 barred ones.

Agree the red bird is your only pullet. the rest are mixed breed cockerels.

    I agree with Wyandottes7's guesses.

I feel like pic #2 could be a barred rock cockerel? His feathering is different from #3, which looks like a BSL boy.

First one looks like a pullet and looks like my Rhode Island Red- here's her at about 5 weeks, she is now 11 weeks in pic below with my barred rock
    [IMG]

2nd one looks like my Barred Rock which I also am thinking is a cockerel

I'm not sure on breeds of the last 2 but I think the 3rd one is a cockerel as well, No guess on the 4th ones gender.
