Sometimes life is just so unjust.

Tonight a beautiful young girl, only 13 years old, died in a traffic accident.
She was coming home from a Christmas shopping trip with her friend and
    her friends father.

    They met a drunk driver.

    High speed impact.

She died at the scene, as did the driver at fault. The father and daughter, life flighted.

Ashley was just one year older than my own daughter, a grade ahead of her in school.

Her death was so needless. Why do people continue to drink and drive?

    Why?

Looks like its going to be a long night. For those of you that pray...send a few angels this
way for Ashleys family. I can't imagine how they feel this night. I can walk in my daughers
bedroom and see her sleeping. Ashleys parents...

    Spook.

A very sad, and a very tired Spook

A true tragedy. Wish I could sleep, I've been up for over an hour.

    Horrible, just heartbreaking.

I don't understand. She was just a baby. Everyone looking forward to enjoying the Holidays and now this.

Tragic. As soon as I get home from work, I'm going to hug my kids. I may never let them go

    I'm still awake too.

Thirteen; that's my little sister's age. Why does the world have to work this way?

It's too sad. I'm going to bed. Goodnight.

So tragic, and so avoidable. My heart and prayers go out to her family and friends. What a needless waste of a promising young life.

It is one of my biggest pet peeves in school. For 4 1/2 years I've worked in a job at my college that tries to prevent drunk driving. It still amazes me that people even do it. My room mates are notorious for drinking and driving and it's ridiculous. There are times I have just driven them places because I didn't want them on the roads. I don't know why people risk their license and their lives. Mostly, I think people are just selfish and don't think about the damage they could cause to others.
