Hi, I am going to be gone for two days. My four week old and three and a half week old chicks are in an outside brooder. The weather has been in the low 70's. Should I keep the heat lamp on and have my relative, who will be feeding and checking on them, leave it on 24/7? I have two adult pullets in a coop, but I am not ready for the chicks to go in the pen with the adults. One was pecked by the dominiant chicken today, so I think they should stay out of the coop until I return. I am nervous about leaving them I guess. Any advice would be appreciated.
