Young Breeding Pair (approximately 14 months old). Should start laying this spring. The male is just now beginning to develop the vibrant yellow coloring and will mature as the breeding season begins.

The Yellow Golden Pheasant is a small, hardy bird, disease resistant and hardy in most climates. Native to forests in mountainous areas of western China.

These birds are eye catching and fascinating to observe.

The hens are a very pale yellow color and lay a small, cream colored egg, while the male has a brillient yellow color throughtout his plumage. (Immature male's plumage like that of a female until their second year.)

1st two pictures are those of the actual birds, the third picture is that of a mature bird.
