Freaking out! Eggs got wet for 8 hours in lockdown!

I’m freaking out, I accidentally over filled my incubator with water apparently it soaked the bottom of the paper towels (pretty soaked) for 8 hours during day 1 of lockdown!! What do I do?? Will they be ok of the bottomed were wet??

Hi. I’ve never experienced that but I don’t think there’s a lot you can do now, it’s happened. I reckon they’ll be ok. Presumably you’ve removed the excess water now so just continue with lockdown as normal. Please keep us posted and best of luck with your hatch

Wipe them off and place them on dry floor. Should be ok. I’ve dumped water on eggs before (by accident) and left them.

I did open it to place a dry towel underneath them... I’m just worried the 8 hours they were sitting on the wet paper towels would harm them!
