Freakout silkies

I have two 4 week old silkies that are just so scared of me! I've been in the coop chilling out with them each day and the two other chicks (australorp and light sussex) have quickly become accustomed to me and will happily come and sit on my lap or let me handle them but the silkies just freak out whenever I go near them, i got the silkies because they're known to be affectionate but mine aren't.......

Am I being impatient? is this likely to improve as they get older?

They are going through their awkward preteen phase. It should get better with time. My adults do not come over to me (unless I have food or treats), but do enjoy some pats and do not mind being held.
