Anyone in Vermont ? southern part of the state?
i need to find a home for my two ladies!

i have onl;y had them a few weeks...

i have been at my barn apartment for 2 years.. always clean and pay on time. i live in the country. lots of land.

My landlord was out of town when all this happened.

I did not think it would be a problem, so i told my brother yes when he asked me to take his 2 chickens

i intended to take them for a few months and find them a good home.
    my mistake..

when my landlord came back he was really mad.

I told my landlord it is temporary.

    Now he is harrassing me.
he does not care that i am a struggling single mother. That i have been working a lot and i also have a elderly mother who is sick.

he is acusing me of garbage piling up, It is not mine, i told him it is the other neighbors trash.

the chickens are just here for a month or so.
we have a temproary coop and they do not bother anyone.

they are pets, clean and almost prize winning. they lay great eggs

he calls me at in the morning .

this past week he left many messages on my phone that the chickens had to go immmediatly. When i get home at 7:00 at night and have to get up early, when would i have time to "immediatly" get rid of them.??

thanks for letting my join the fourm.. i love chickens and one day hope to have them again.

New Hampshire've GOT IT BAD! You are willing to meet on the side of the road!! [IMG]
I posted on craigs list couple months back and gave away 8 of my chickens that a friend (who moved) wanted when we first got our flock and couldn't take them. I GOT 30 calls in 2 days from people BEGGING me for them.
$3.50 a hen was a deal I think...ended up giving them away because the lady had cute kids so excited about them. I took one look at those excited faces and I said...GUESS what WE are having a SALE today...FREE% off!! [IMG]

    Hi there Southern Vermonter!

My husband and I, or should I say my husband, really wants laying chickens. The only thing is that we don't know beans about how to take care of them, so we're trying to self-teach. Then I found this really FUN bulletin board!

Where are you located? We're in Newfane.[IMG]
