Free Range Flock 1 : Japanese Beetles 0

My flock is just crushing those evil, vile, relentless Japanese Beetles this year. I saw one of my hens just standing over a pile of them and having a great time. Others running across the yard hunting. A few got smart and stood below the Beetle Traps for any that missed and fell to the ground!

I have utilized Japanese beetle traps on occasion in the past and my chickens during those times absolutely devoured the stinking clumps of the dead and dying beetles when I placed them in their pens.

I wish my chickens would be useful like that. They just wait for me to feed them. Completely helpless! Jk they catch some bugs.
