    My girls RUN RUN RUN ..flapping their wings ... as fast as they can to the house whenever I release them ..

    The youngsters (3-4 months) are still hanging close to the coop (100 yards from the house) but the hens and roo .. they think mi casa is they casa ... lol

    Tell Husband they are eating bugs near the house. I want to give mine a hug when I see them snatching bugs right out the air!

    They are indeed my stout little Buff Orpingtons - all named Ethel because we can't really tell them apart (except for the big one whom we call Gojira)

    kateseidel- I see you have woods. So do I. I penned mine in a large run due to foxes or something grabbing one. Do you watch them when you let them out or just let em go and hope nothing gets them? I worry too much I suppose...
