Freezing ducks?

    My elderly mother and her senior neighbors are worrying about the wild ducks on their backyard community pond. How can I reassure them that the ducks will not freeze to death? They live in Ft.Wayne, IN. So far this winter, the low temps. Have been around 8 degrees.

    Just ask them how they think the ducks still remain in existance if they are in danger of freezing? If they froze, there would be none left.
