8:00 husband answers phone-friend that found hen in a city
trail. ct.. He knew we had chickens so husband says sure bring
her out. She appears young-RSL, I have 2RSL, so I could at least
identify what breed. He has had her in a dog crate since Tues., she's laid
2 eggs, he put an ad in the paper with no luck. She's in my laundry room
because I didn't want to risk my flock. She is missing some feathers around
base of tail. Tail feathers are very thin, she has alot of new feather shafts
coming in. Could she have gone thru a molt? It was getting dark so I looked
her over- around vent and feather shafts for lice, mites did'nt see anything
but dusted her anyway. Perky and ate good, norma ldroppings. Any ideas about the feather loss at tail? Molt?
Thanks
Got some pics this morn
