My b-day is the end of August. Last night over dinner I was telling my GFs about silkies and how cute they are. At the end of the evening they pulled me aside and confided that they wanted to get me silkie chicks for my birthday.

    Naturally, I was thrilled!

Of course I want the chicks. But it's the end of summer. And chicks are expensive to ship. And DBF would freak out. And my neighbor wants to split an order with me next spring. And our coop probably wouldn't fit many more chickens, even banties. And we're not even getting eggs yet!!

Why couldn't I live in the countryside instead of the city!!

    (but I still want them)
