Aw ok.Large fowl.
Ok. These waddles are what’s getting me. They do a very pail base and get darker pink. But def not big swollen red like I see on other pics of Roos this age.Part of me wants to say pullet. Despite the manly wattles.
I'm gonna counter that and say cockerel. Coming from me who has never raised a LF (standard) Cochin in my life, I could definitely be wrong. In my head, I think of them more like single combed Brahmas because they're both pretty slow to mature and massive birds so I assume maturity rates would be similar. I cannot speak if the way I think of them is right, but it will be interesting to see the development!Part of me wants to say pullet. Despite the manly wattles.
I haven't ever had LF either.I'm gonna counter that and say cockerel. Coming from me who has never raised a LF (standard) Cochin in my life, I could definitely be wrong. I agree thank you. We will see.I get what you're saying. They're bigger than a pullet's should be at this age. However that comb is way small and pale for a cockerel this age.
Post updated pics in a few weeks.
Ha. Me either. But this Cochin is HUUUUGE!I haven't ever had LF either.
