There was a previous post about frizzle traits and feathering. I mentioned that two of my bantam roos have funky feathers on their wings. I have attached pics to have you all help to tell me if they are frizzles or fizzles. Thanks.

The photos were taken about 2 weeks ago and now more feathers are curling away from their bodies. Will their whole body get like this or just the wings?

I had some cochins that did that, but then the feathers grew in normally. Do you know if one of the parents were frizzle? I think that might happen sometime if they have a deficiency. Don't quote me on that though!

No, I got sucked in by the bantam bin at the local feed store. They are supposedly light brahmas.

Maybe they will outgrow it - but it is awful cute right now. When they run around and stick their necks out, with their butt behind and all of those feathers poofing out is adorable [IMG]

Ah, I hope they don't outgrow it.

Can't say I've ever seen a frizzle brahma- but you have some pretty little guys there! I love brahma roos.

It is possible that they have one copy of frizzle and a double dose fo the frizzle modifier (which unfrizzles).
