I'd say first is roo how old are they?
Quote:Not sure, I'm guessing about 12 weeks? The first pic is right after I got them.
I'd say first is a roo and last is a pullet. But see here's why I don't usually answer these types of posts. No one ever comes back and confirms what we guess. You will surely find out eventually but we never hear back if we're right or wrong.
Hope they turn out to be whatever you want them to be just the same,
Quote:It's funny you say that, because I was just coming to say I think I maybe...MAYBE heard a croak that was trying to be a crow from the maybe roo. I wouldn't mind a Frizzle Roo. I already have three roos, we'll have to see how long I can keep everyone getting along and who turns out to be the best roo. I have 28 in the brooder so here's hoping for a preponderance of hens. My cooks are already slavering at the prospect of local chicken tamales.
How cool is that? I have willing pluckers
Quote:Just an update. I'm now thinking they're both hens. Not laying yet so not 100%, but pretty sure. (because I see my bantam roo is in lust with both of them)
can you post updated pics of both
This is the only recent pic.
I'll see if I can get a couple tonight.
They seem much younger than 12 weeks and they are both roosters. Here's my house Roo, "Annie-Belle". She has hackles and even saddle feathers hanging and curled back near the tail.
She looks scary!
