Frost bite or scaly

Posting for a friend…. This is her chickens foot. We originally thought frost bite due to an extreme cold snap but now we are thinking scaly mite? What’s everyones opinions? Treatment?

Looks like frostbit tips and possibly a bit of scaly leg mite. The tip will fall off but the bird with be fine.

Is there a string or anything wrapped around that middle toe or just dirt?

Foot scales look a bit crusty, could be SLM but hard to tell. If the weather is not freezing right now, you can rub a bit of vaseline or oil up underneath and into the scales of the feet and legs, it won't hurt if it's not SLM but will help if it is.
