Frosty, Eater of Souls

So what is the skinny on Silver Laced Wyandottes? It was warm one day this week, so I took my 3-4 week old SLW pullet, Frosty out to meet my 3-month-old Buff Orpingtons. I was concerned about her safety, so I left them in their run and let her strut her stuff over to the fence. They were all really curious, poking through the fence, but honestly they seemed more nervous than she did. She walked right up to The Hulk, my 7-8 lb (already!) "alpha" roo, and pecked him right in the face. He seemed kind of stunned. She turned and walked away, unimpressed.

Am I dealing with a future pimp thug here? Or is this just typical rowdy chick behavior, or even more...SLW behavior? She seems VERY different than the BOs did at that age. She WANTS to climb on me, all the time. Pecks incessantly. Seems upset when I "peck" her with my finger for jabbing my eye.....and then does it again straightaway.

Some chicks are just uppity. The hens would likely put her in her place, if there wasn't a fence between them.

Might be an uppity pullet.....or a cockerel.
I have had a few very spicy young birds challenge the olders...it's very funny.

She is definitely "spicy". I swear, there is a reason she survived the cold while the other 6 chicks died...she has all that hate inside her, keeping her warm.
