Fully developed chicks dead in shell…why not hatching??

Hi community!

I’ve been incubating turkey and chicken eggs, and for some reason the turkeys are fully grown in eggs but dead when I open them 1-2 days after the supposed hatch date. I’ve read online it could be from everything such as temp, humidity, turning, parents health, etc. Has anyone had this happen and really determine the cause, made adjustments, then fixed issue? Seems so sad they’re fully formed then can’t get out of the shell! I’ve lost about 7 this way! 😭

Thanks! Sara

So sorry that you did not get a good hatch. Do you have any pictures of the chicks? What was your temp and humidity during incubation and lockdown?
Just one photo. Temp is 100-100.5 and humidity is around 70.

I’m pretty sure it’s still air but I’m not 100%. It was $150 model at tractor supply. During active incubation period it was between 50-55 degrees.
is there a fan? You should be able to see or hear if it has a fan built in. If not it's probably still air-
Still air incubators run a little higher than normal, 102F is the reccomend temperature, if its 100 and still air, it's a little cool, if it's 100 and not still air, then it's a little high. But I don't think this is what caused the problems.
If the humidity was a little high and temp a little low, that could cause an issue potentially.
Do you have calibrated thermometers/hygrometers to get accurate readings?

Looks like circulated air.
