Funny egg....

This egg had a regular shell, but the inside yoke looked funny. Is it just a mistake from the chicken? Or is something wrong? I had another one, (cracked it same day but not laid same day), its shell was funny. One part of the shell was like...a weird gray or something. When i cracked it, it looked just like this one: Maybe a bit worse...
I did not get a pic of that one.

A few things will caused mottled color yolks. Most are the consumption of various weeds like shepherd's purse, or marshmallow. Eating raw soybeans, or cotton seed meal can cause it, as well as various wormers.

I believe so. I generally just feed those back to my chickens because I got troubles eating eggs to begin with.
