I picked up 15 chicks today. Five are layers and the other 10 are broilers. They are happily hanging out in their new doghouse brooder (the bottom half of a plastic doghouse). There are ten red broilers, three delawares, and two EEs.

I'll be getting better pictures of the different breeds later today or tomorrow.

*For those other HP fans out there, the new layer chicks are: Pigwidgeon, Hedwig, Errol, Hermes, and Gabrielle.

They're sooo cute. Are the 2 chipmunks and the 3 white ones your layers?

Quote:Yep, the white ones are the delawares and the chipmunk ones are the EEs. My EE hen lays cream-colored eggs, so I am hoping to get some nice green ones from these two.

How cute! I love the names! [IMG] I'm still thinking up names for my 3 BO chicks...but nothing is coming to mind.

I love Hedwig-she looks like a big, cute ball of fluff.
