I am sure this happens to everyone eventually, but since no one I know has ever had it happen to them yet, I need to ask y'all. While skinning a very large hen, the gall bladder leaked bile downward onto only part of the carcass, very tip of keel, and part of one leg. I cut away the visually tainted part and continued to clean the bird as usual and it is soaking in icy brine now. Is the whole chicken contaminated? I guess my question is, how does bile "contaminate" the chicken? I know it is really hard to clean/rinse off, but if cut away, is the rest of the meat ok? Is the bile dangerous/deadly or just bad tasting? I know, stupid question.
