Gambel quail reproduction

    I am wondering when gambel quail are old enough to reproduce?

    Im not sure anyone here raises them though??

    CANT SAY FOR SURE, DONT HAVE GAMBLES... BUT ALL NEW WORLD SPECES TEND TO LAY LATE SPRING THE FOLLOWING YEAR AFTER HATCH. SINCE I HAVENT FOOLED WITH GAMBLES THIS IS SPECULATION. I DONT KNOW IF THEY CAN BE STIMULATED INTO LAYING WITH LIGHT EITHER? BUT SINCE YOU NEVER SEE GAMBLE EGGS BEFORE LATE MAY/ EARLY JUNE AVAILABLE FOR SALE I DOUBT IT

    I believe the first spring after they hatch. Just read that somewhere.
