Cleaning out the garden this week, are there any plants they cannot eat besides tomato? I have beans, squash, pepper, cucumber, and some mystery vine that never did produce anything.

Quote:Don't know for sure, but maybe pepper, potato and eggplant, since they are in the same family as tomato. (Nightshade) I doubt that a little tomato plant would hurt them.

Would they eat plants that are not good for them ? That would be the question. If you let them free range, you have no control over what they eat. They eat it because it tastes good. If I grab a handful of greens from the yard, it amazes me how they pick through it : clover gone, dandelion leaves gone, but there may be something in that handful they will not touch. Not an expert, but just my theory.
