I am gathering some eggs to incubate...how long can I hold them before I have to incubate them? I turn them everyday and am keeping them in my barn until I get enough to incubate...
The basic answer is if you store them in reasonable conditions, a week works well. If you take a few extra precautions as mentioned in that article, two weeks is OK. After that, you do start to lose hatchability. That does not mean that they are guaranteed not to hatch, just that the odds of you getting a good hatch drops the longer you wait.
