Looking for advice and experience exchange re.Emu egg incubation...and...is YINEPU still active?...her detailed info might have given us the chance of success ...eggs expected today...

Ha ... know the feeling ... Kiwi over here with 6 emu eggs 10 days in ... beginning to agonize over weight loss already!

How are your eggs going? I'm running into some serious humidity hassles ... ie, no matter what I do my eggs lose weight too fast. Considering masking tape around some of them to reduce the surface area.

I think my homemade incubator is so good at ventilation that the eggs lose a lot of weight regardless of the humidity rating ... and since I lost so much in the first few days, I have to be so much more careful, my room for error is gone ... Slightly Stressed here!

Day 19 and I'm already considering trying to listen with a stethoscope, even knowing it probably won't work until after day 30.

So far my advice is, any humidity issues should be dealt with ASAP or it makes it harder for you later.
