Geese and duck 5 week picture update!

Geesh - the time is flyin! The Buff geese and runner ducks have been outside for 2 weeks now. Tonight it is going to be cold - about 28 - so I had to put up giant cardboard draft guards to protect the 2 week old dewlap toulouse from the cold. I've attached some of those little cuties as well as my crazy dogs and donkeys!

Growing, growing! My geese have the fluffy downy heads now too, so many feathers growing now.

I love your baby dewlaps. I would love to get some, but I know the season has passed. Can you tell me how far ahead I should try to order them next year? Should I get on a waiting list, now? I love all my goslings, but the dewlaps were my first choice.

I was just in the right place at the right time, like you I thought I'd be pre-ordering for next year at best. I even called Holderread's in March to see what they thought my chances were this year - sold out.
