I have 2 chicks from Cackle Hatchery. I ordered an Easter Egger and an Olive Egger. Anyone have any ladies that they got from Cackle that looked similar as babies and can share how they turned out?
Also, as with EVERY time I get chicks, I’m paranoid that I’ve got cockerels. Both babies worry me for different reasons. The EE (gray) seems to stand a little taller with an upright tail, and I know it’s early, but is that rust on the shoulders or just a fawnish color towards the neck? The OE (brownish) seems to have a rather pronounced comb, albeit not red at all. What are the odds that I’d order 2 pullets and get 2 cockerels?? Hatch date March 3.
