Gender from first Hatch

    I have six chickens that hatched six weeks ago. Five are EE's and one is a Marans. What Gender to you think they are?

    looks like 3 pullets and 1 cockerel but if any of the ee's start to get any deep red on the wings then i would say cockerels but so far it looks like the white ones the only cockerel. in the 2nd pic i would watch the pullet in the front

    I agree looks like 1 boy (the white) the last looks like a Lavendar color

    The white one looks like a cockerel. The rest look like pullets. The last one is a very pretty lavender!

    I hope all of you are right on this. I have heard about people only hatching out cockerels, so I was worried. The colorful one that I need to watch(the one closest to the fence in the second picture) hatched out of a nice blue egg. The others were more greenish.

    I think you got lucky! The white one is the only one that looks like a roo. :)
