So we got our first cochins. Thought it would be fun to guess gender. Any name suggestions are welcome too.

Here are the 5 littles playing in the yard.

Chick number 1 is a millie fleur. However, she is a couple weeks younger than the other 2.

Chick 2 is a Millie Fleur... we have been having some problems with this one. She kinda hobbles and has had some crop issues, but today was a good day she just rests extra.

Chick 3 also a Millie Fleur

Chick 3 on the left, 2 on the right and 1 in the back

Chick number 4 is a black cochin. This one has a lot more foot feathers. Also loved lounging in my daughters lap all day.

Chick number 5 is my personal favorite. A Silver Laced cochin. My kids keep calling it "Chowder"

The 1st and last are the youngest... maybe 2 weeks... just feathering. The others maybe 4 weeks? Its all guesses. Breeder said they would change colors a few times as they feather, but momma and daddy looked awesome.

Right now I don't see a roo in the bunch. That may change with #1, but right now it looks like a she as well.

I wouldn't mind one MF roo.

So far we have had 19 chickadees... only 1 has been a roo. I bought him as a pair, so I knew he was a roo when I bought him. So I was fully expecting this to be a batch of roos.....

    Here are their parents....
