I am completely new to having backyard chickens. Both of these "girls" were sold to me as female red sex link chicks when they were a couple weeks old. However, the person that picked them out for me was not positive she had the right ones. She was pretty sure, so we went with it. They are the same age, approximately 19ish weeks. I was having a hard time getting a good picture of the top one so I hope the tail feathers are clear enough to see. My question is, are they both really girls?

Those are both pullets. The bottom one is getting close to laying, if she isn't already :)

Thank you so much! I have the nest boxes ready and am very excited. I have wanted chickens for a long time and was so excited when we were finally allowed to have them. I love my girls!
