Hey guys used to raising ducks, not so much chickens. My friend dropped this lovely one off last week, can anyone help me out on age, breed, and gender it is?[IMG]

Hi and welcome to BYC. Breed i have no clue, but the comb would suggest that it could be male. I'm sure others, with more experience will be along soon, to help you out.

Well, judging by size, maybe 6 weeks old? And I would venture to guess cockerel, too. Big red comb for such a young chick.

Can't tell the breed though, kinda looks like a broiler from here :p

A different pic would be really helpful. In natural light, full body shot including the tail, if you don't mind taking another ;)

    And Welcome to BYC! :)

I would guess about 8 wks and a cockerel.

Need a broadside pic in better light if you can. Look like a Cornish-cross cockerel from this angle.

agree - and a cockerel - comb too red this early- picture doesn't enlarge so can't feel details beyond that.
