Gender??? **More pics added on pg. 3***

So a few of you told me when I got this chick that he/she was an Easter Egger/Silkie cross. The first photo was at just a few days old and the other photos are now...about 8 weeks old...any guesses as to the gender? I'm new to the chicken world so don't know what to look for. He/she was in a bin marked "straight run exotics"...REAL helpful...lol

Those are big waddles for 8 weeks old. That tells me roo-but it still looks girly.

I just looked at my calendar...he/she is was 7 weeks yesterday...not sure if that helps any or not

Then I vote boy. It looks like there are saddle feathers coming in. The tail looks a little "jaunty" to me...

Before the BYC folks tease me for my fanciful vocabulary : jaunty: dapper, dashing, natty, raffish, rakish

Interesting and different looking bird. Very cool!

Boy ? Girl ? hard to tell for me. Looks like a masculine pose there & a bit of a comb developing but light in color. Tail feathers are different lengths....

seems that the signs are pointing to a boy, but I'm certainly no expert.

ok Laree...enlighten a chicken newbie..."saddle feathers"??? and "jaunty" What should I be looking for on this and my others to help clarify gender?
