Hi, he/she is a 12-13 week old buff orphigton. Any idea on gender? The comb came in earlier then my other buff orphigton chick. Thanks so much for any ideas

I'd say pullet based on the comb. I don't know a terrible much about orp sexing, but the roos have huuuge combs.

Usually by six to eight weeks the male will have large red wattles and a red comb. I've heard that orpingtons were hard to sex, but this method usually works with most hatchery birds. Another way to tell (may or may not work with every breed) is that males tend to feather in much slower.
