The comb and wattles are too large and red for a 9-10 week old pullet. Also the white bars are wide indicating a male. Barred Rocks females have wide black bars. Males have thin black bars, making them appear lighter in color than the females.
That’s what I thought too. It’s her favorite chicken. I posted about it a week or so ago. I don’t think I’ll straight out tell her, maybe joke about it to get her wondering. Thanks for confirming!
