Gender of this light brahma?

    I bought a bunch of roos from meyer hatchery's frying pan special however, I just had one squat into the defensive position that my layers do. Do all chickens do the wings out squat? Only my layers have done it in the past. [​IMG]

    At that age, I see a pullet, but it could be a slowly maturing rooster.

    At that age I'm leaning toward pullet for sure although they are usually slow maturing birds, there would be some sign of a roo at that age.

    Thank you all! We're setting the chicken aside from the butchering today with hopes that it is indeed a pullet. :)

    Looks like a pullet =) nice dark neck feathers probably fooled them. I have three myself, sure one is a roo but not sure of these two, would someone please help?
