Gender on EE?

Hey yall! I'm new here but not new to chickens. This one chick however has me confused. I've never had a black and white EE with this kind of patterning and colors. His/her comb looks like a pullet to me but I can't tell with them still being this young. It looks like a reddish mahogany color coming in a little on the wings and he/she has the attitude of a little roo. Either way those little tail feathers are so long and pretty! So many mixed signals haha. If it helps give a bit of reference, this little one is 3x the size and weight of our RI red and silver laced Wyandotte chicks that all hatched at the same time. Definitely sweet though, has to be the first one to get attention, and will literally knock the others out of the way to get out to sit on my shoulder pretty much all day haha. Any guesses?
That chick looks almost exactly like my EE chick! How old is your chick? My chick is 1 month old. I'll get some pics of mine and then we can compare their combs.

They do look quite a bit alike!! Mine is a month old as well :) I'll try to get a better picture of the comb. what threw me off with mine is it looks like there are 3 little rows instead of just the one. You have a beautiful chick! We'll have to share pics as they grow!

They really do!
To answer your "question", thats because your baby's comb does have 3 little rows, she has a pea comb. @Tookie's chick has a single comb. EE's techincaly aren't a breed, so they have no standard. Thats why they can have different comb types. :)

Gotcha, thank you! Honestly in all the years of having chickens this is the first pea comb I've ever had so I definitely don't know what I'm looking at or for as far as the comb goes. 😊

@Tookie I tried getting a better picture of her comb.... looking at these pics I'm thinking pullet but I'll be happy either way.

Actually, both birds (Tookie’s and Op’s) have pea combs/modified peas. Neither have single combs. I can see three rows on both birds.

Oh, my bad! I was having a difficult time seeing that on a little pullet. I haven't had pea combed birds in a while, obviously. :p
