How soon can I tell the gender in these quail? They are 2 1/2 wks old. I have read that Coturnix males have red breasts and I am seeing reddish on the breasts of two or three of them. Is this how you tell?

Quote:wait until they are 3 weeks -4 weeks and you should be able to clearly see who's male and who's female. Sounds like you got two males so far! [IMG]

Yes it is how you tell [IMG] I also commented on it on the other post you asked about it on [IMG] In more detail
