Is there anyway to tell the sex of a chick? I bought them as egg layers but how accurate are they at a fleet store when you buy them so young young?

I searched online but didnt find much about chicks, just adult chickens. Do males grow at a quicker rate than females?

if you post pictures of your chicks, we can make some guesses

I think thats pretty accurate; we got 35 from the hatchery; but only 1 so far shows true signs of roo=ness...

I would LOVE for you to guess! I am just dying waiting to know for sure, so that I can keep them if they really are girls. They are too sweet to give away now!

OMG I love your photos!!! Soooooooooooooooooooo cute! Makes me want chicks all over again

I've had worse luck choosing girls from the pullet bins... 1 out of 10 I'd be so happy, but my luck has been about 2-3/10.

i have the same question on my chicks, but i need to get to 10 posts before i can post pics. I read somewhere online if you look at there wings at an early age, you can tell by the pattern of the wings growing, wethered its even or staggered, its on you tube if u search, something like "sexing chicks", might try that if you want. mine are too old for this now.
