I've got seven 8-9 week old chicks - 3 barred rock and 4 rhode island red crosses. They're all doing great for the most part but I have a few questions about them.

Do we have to still keep them inside (it still gets to like 30-35 degrees at night here) - as of right now they go out during the day and come in at night. Our house is about 50 degrees at night do they still need a heat lamp at night?

right now they eat starter feed. a couple weeks ago they were ravenous for the stuff and now not so much. Is this normal? are they bored with this food? Suggestions? Also how long should they stay on medicated feed?

Worms? Do you NEED to worm chickens? signs?

thanks!

any other knowledge/tips and tricks is appreciated as well!

Your birds should be fully feathered and fine out in their coop. No heat lamp needed, either. You could set up a lower watt lamp in the coop in one corner at night, and see if they still want it. Mary
