I have a hen that has incrementally (since last winter) lost almost all the feathers around her comb on her head. I think my other hen may be pecking her at night. I have heard that Blue Kote is good for deterring pecking. And I saw that Blue Kote has gentian violet in it and was wondering could I use a mixture of Gentian violet, Aloe vera and Tea tree oil instead of Blue Kote????
