get grass to grow back

I purchased a small portable coop and have recently moved it. My biggest problem is trying to get grass to grow back in the spot the coop was originally in . I have made sure to rake up as much as I could of the wood shavings, but little grass has started to grow back yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Try watering it a little and maybe re seeding it with store bought grass seed!

I will go get some grass seed and give that a whirl. The watering part is taken care of, we have had rain almost continuously for 2 weeks now!

Wow! Alot of times the hens scratch and eat most of the grass seed so re seeding it will help

Next time I mow (if I ever get to ) I will put some grass trimmings on it too.
