Ok so someone said if you flip a chick over on its back and it doesnt struggle or flip over on its own its a pullet...

well.... i'd like to introduce you to Rizzo...my ameracauna chickie

I know all of my BR chicks didn't struggle if you did this, but I just did it to hold them easily- didn't know it was supposed to indicate gender!

I'm going to test all of my 7 chicks and keep statistics...

btw, my BRs still lie still if I put them on their sides, and one lays like that in my lap if I sit still for her. Little clowns!
 
I thought all chickens would do that if flipped onto their backs? I turn mine over just for fun sometimes when they are bigger, and they just lay there and look around. LOL. I've never had a rooster before, so I've never tried it with those.

i doubt its true, but i bought some ameracauna pullets from the feed store, if i get any "flippers" i'll take em back!!!

I am going to have to test this!!! My oldest son likes to hold them on their back and rub their tummies for a second.....I will see who lets him and who doesn't!!
