Getting Chickens to Eat "Fines"

I really like the whole grain food my chickens are on (Scratch and Peck) but always seems to come down to a pile of fines in the bottom of the feeder. Any creative ideas for getting them to eat them? I know it's important stuff from a nutrition standpoint. I tried mixing them with yogurt and also oatmeal and they didn't go for either. Or do folks just leave the fines there without refilling feeder until they are gone? They may have me trained....

Ferment the feed before you feed it and then they'll be eating the fines bound up in it all along. Your feed usage will go down by 1/3.

I think that Scratch and Peck is intended to be fed as a wet/fermented feed, not dry.
