Getting Cornish X chicks next week!

This is our second time with the Cornish X and it worked out pretty good the first time. But some things seemed kind of off.

Is it normal for them to lay around a lot? Does it do anything to the meat?

Could we help with their legs? They seem to break often in the last 2-3 weeks?

Is it normal to lose 5-6 of them around the same time around the 6th-7th week?

Any further advice how to start them out or some tips?

If anybody would help me with these questions, that would be greatly appreciated!!!
